Medial Centres Group ( MCG) develops high quality primary healthcare premises throughout the UK and has offices in London and Aberdeen under the respective brands of Medical Centre Developments ( MCD) and Medical Centres Scotland (MCS).
MCG approached Cogent with a relatively open brief to rationalise the branding and promote its offer. Despite the attraction of working under a single brand Cogent recommended the retention of the two regional titles because they were well established in their respective markets and there was no compelling business case for change. Cogent has created a new unifying identity for each office.
Cogent then worked with the MCG Directors to establish simple, compelling customer benefits and competitive difference. Four key factors in the customer decision making process were identified: health outcomes, working environment and green issues, succession and equity release and relationships.
Cogent recommended that all the collateral was based around case studies showing how MCD delivered on the four key areas. Our next recommendation was that rather than MCG making claims about itself they should asked their many satisfied clients to provide testimonials and quotes.
Our design concept work was clearly structured around the content and featured high quality photography of the buildings and people featured in the case studies. Cogent also co-ordinated and shared copywriting with the directors.
The first example of our work with MCG is their website with the new brochure to follow in Spring 2010.
