“In a difficult market we wanted to distinguish ourselves on the internet as something apart from the ‘run of the mill’ advertisers. We wanted to portray our services as some of the ‘best of the best’.

ORY Europe chose Cogent as their designers because they came with a strong recommendation from a colleague within the yachting world, and we had seen Chris speak on branding at an ABYA (Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents) meeting. We also felt that there was great benefit in working with a small team rather than a large agency; we could work more closely with them, adjusting our ideas as we went along, all the while forming a relationship with them.

We briefed Cogent regarding our objectives and our need to create a ‘visual experience’ for our site, whilst keeping text to a minimum. With high-end yacht sales, it is important to communicate through visual experience - what the eye sees and then how this makes you feel. When building the site it was essential to present our yachts for sale to their best advantage, despite not always being able to procure the most perfect images on every vessel. Cogent’s skill in formatting and retouching our images to a high level has added to the quality-feel of our website..
